About Us

We run a breeding herd of beef cattle on the Deery family farm in Bengworden, East Gippsland on the traditional lands of the Gunaikurnai people. Gerard is the fourth generation member of the Deery family to manage the 750 hectare property which overlooks the stunning Gippsland Lakes. Importantly, we use Landscape Function Grazing to regenerate the grasslands and soil. This approach restores biodiversity, puts life back into the soil, sequesters soil organic carbon and drought-proofs the landscape. We ensure long recovery periods followed by high animal impact with little to no chemical or other inputs applied.

Our cattle run in family groups and we use a low stress stock handling approach which ensures easily managed and contented cows. They are shifted to fresh pasture multiple times each day allowing us to frequently monitor their welfare to ensure they are happy and healthy. Providing clean, cool water from troughs is a high priority. 

Our cattle are 100% grass fed, chemical-free and produce beef which is nutrient dense and delicious.
